She cried when we sent her to CC. After we left, she stopped crying. Feedback from teacher was that she has been adapting very well there, much much better than Leticia when she was a toddler. We thought it's gonna take more than one month for Kennise to settle down but she surprise us with just 2 weeks.

Now Leticia's turn to start all over again. Every morning hv to tolerate her endless plead & cry not to go CC. Teacher said becos she has been promoted to N2 hence change of classroom & teachers so some children need time to adjust to the new environment & teachers. headache..

She wore this to her sch Xmas party and got the best dressed award. We actually bought 3 costumes in preparation for the party. One minnie mouse costume was meant for Kennise but she couldn't go as she got fever. I hope the costumes can still fit them next year.

rocking & patting the bb to sleep. Just like me always sing & pat kennise to sleep during the night. She's such a pampered bb with high expectation. She wanted me to pat at her designated area of her body and sing certain songs. Sometimes hickory dickory dock, twinkle star, 1 2 buckle shoe,etc. Imagine singing the same song for 1hr or longer if unlucky! Now trying not to pat or sing , want her to fall asleep without my help but with me still by her side. She has difficulties falling asleep at CC without her pacifier and pillow. Leticia is a better sleeper. When we put 19 mths old Leticia in CC , she was able to sleep without the use of pacifier.

Hope we have the financial means to send both for piano lessons in future. My neighbor send their 3 girls for it & they're quite a nice bunch of kids. Well mannered and speaks well. In fact, daughters of another 2 families are doing quite well in their studies and are linguistic. I wonder how they manage to bring well their daughters. Sometimes very frustrated with both especially now that kennise is into the terrible 2 stage.

A terror at home but a sweetie at school. All teachers praise how good a sister she was to Kennise on K's first day in CC. How Leticia comfort, take care, feed her mei mei food, feed mei mei water, hug mei mei and try her best to pat mei mei to sleep. In the end, Leticia didn't take her nap becos mei mei cling to her. So touching.

Very fast, next year N2. I hope to pull her out from CC by year 2013 when she enter K1 but someone need to be @ home leh. Good if current helper still with us , we trust her. Eventually she will still go back to her hometown but dunno when. Thinking of sending Leticia to a few enrichment courses so can't put in CC. Already have 3 courses in mind, maybe will send her to one next year when she turns 4 yrs old.

Today is kennise's first day in CC. Cried as expected. Went to peek after 2 hrs to see how she's doing. Already stop crying & saw her sitting on the lap of the chinese teacher. This time, I didn't stay with her. Only stay breifly for 10mins and say goodbye. Heartbroken but i know it's good for her. None of us @ home are early childhood educators. Instead of letting her roam ard the house aimlessly, i prefer to let teachers teach her how to read, write and draw. Same plan for Kennise, pull out from CC when she entered K1 but someone need to be @home with them.

I guess it's a phase. Fed her a few times myself, she spat out the food and water all over. Sometimes she dug her hand into the bowl, grabbed food and threw everywhere. Pity the helper sometimes. Need to handle naughty missy but can't scold her..haha. The helper used to utter the "tsk" sound becos kennise threw /spat food over her or on the floor and it was so irritating. You know how some s'pore make that "tsk"sound when they're impatient. Then we told her to stop making the ""tsk"" sound. Don't want the children to have this habit. Now no more "tsk" sound. haha.

MC for 2 weeks hence no mood to do things i usually enjoy. I hate that kind of feeling..

It was a very simple celebration and gathering for close family members. Due to the location, we only invite few ppl staying or working nearby. My colleague told me to book the resort for family gathering as feedback from her was positive so we tried for 2 nights. Initially wanted to order cake from pine garden, figurines for the cake already bought so many mths ago. But everyone was still coughing so bought a tiny one so that the girls don't eat too much chocolate cake. Still have leftover even though cake was small. K & L enjoyed running around the spacious bungalow.

Really thanks my brother/brother's fren/my mum&helper for barbecuing the food. I didn't help at all! pai seh.

My first thought when i boarded the plane was "life is so unfair"". Even parents can afford business class tickets for their kids even though on a budget airline , tickets are not cheap for us normal folks. Furthermore not only one kid , there was quite a few. But that thought quickly disappeared. becos i knew that not everyone can afford.

I was very satisfied with the plane back to sin though not quite enjoyable on the plane to melbourne. usually it happens cos i can't fall asleep. I really enjoy this trip to melbourne. Now every other day he's talking abt jetting to other place with me and checking jetstar website on the fares whenever he's free. crazy man.

Leticia has been asking us to buy things for her all the time so now trying to find ways to help them to understand that money doesn't come easy for our family. I'm trying to get her to save enough money to buy the things she wants. Aside from savings, i am delighted that Leticia was able to sleep on her own without fussing for daddy's company last night. otherwise , he would have to be stucked in the bedroom for more than 1hour. It's a great achievement for Leticia and it's good news for us too. For kennise, she's talking alot now. no problem to follow simple instructions but lazy to feed herself. She's very selective when it comes to food..loves plain bread & rice. Currently she weighs 13kg. She will be entering childcare next month,hoping a easy transition for her since Leticia is also there. Celebration is around the corner for her 2nd birthday but all of us are coughing including the birthday girl. It will be held @ a resort with minimal guest or no guest at all.

love thai food very much now. especially tom yam soup. bringing leticia to a baking workshop in the afternoon. hope everything turn out well. Scare that if she throws tantrum, how i'm going to handle. i am really bad at situations like this. Then another few more days going for our honeymoon and leaving our babies with mil & helper. Hope everything will be okay. It will be my first time flying business class and strongly believe will be my last unless i become super rich but that is so impossible. I heard the hotel he booked is a 5 star one. Free & easy costs more than joining a tour leh. Busted my bank account for this trip. Exchange rate not fantastic. Weather is unpredictable, sometimes very hot somedays very cold. Luckily check in baggage allowance is 30kg for business so i just bring everything la. promise myself that i would stop spending for the next few mths after returning from this trip.

Taka got sale & how could i miss it! been looking forward to shop till i drop but stubborn leticia made it so difficult for us to shop in peace. Totally can't focus properly. Nvm, we still manage to get a stroller(old one dying soon), a juicer(helper swear she would prepare juice for my gals, challenging to get both to drink plain water), a claypot (old one already cracking), some sanrio items & a bag for myself. No toys ah...leticia throwing tantrum at the toys section and we actually lose her for a few minutes...thanks to hb. That sent us frantically looking for her. At last found her playing with the new Elmo toy tucked away in a corner.

Last friday, we decided it was time for Leticia to stop using the pacifier. As expected, she would wake up to ask for it but very determine to put a stop this time. Must persevere. 3 yrs of using the dummy is enough. hv to overcome some more nights of disturbed sleep. *yawn*

Queen of stalling for time

received report card from the child which i sponsored. Wah..sponsor for almost 3 yrs liao. She's very big and round, weighing 16kg. My leticia only 14kg. Leticia spends at least 1 hr to finish her dinner every day. Super xian! Every day got different excuse to escape eating her dinner. Want to poop half way through meal is a norm. She would waste at least 15mins trying to poop while playing with toys or watching tv. Sometimes she manage to poop, sometimes unable to poop.. Bedtime also another. Now she wants daddy to accompany her to sleep liao (hahaha..i'm back to coax kennise to sleep and I just luv it. )I can't stand her behaviour and shouted/hit at her a couple of times. So she preferred daddy liao. she made me so agitated with her super long request.
1. taking super long to finish her milk(at least 30mins, biting the teat constantly , at times playing with other thing that she's holding be it toys or stickers without concentrating on finishing up her milk)
2. want to go pee in the toilet then insist on changing to a new diaper when there's not a single drop of urine on the diaper that she's wearing or insist to wear a certain brand of diaper. haha..we got all sorts of brand. huggies, mamy poko , dryers altogether 5 types. we insist that she use the mamy poko ones cos it's the most durable. The rest cannot hold as much urine & leak onto the mattress.
3. want to rinse her mouth. yes , good habit but have to change to another top cos she still unable to control accurately the amount of water that goes out & got her top wet.
4. want to watch video either on my iphone or video camcorder.
5. want stories to be read to her but dissatisfied with just a few books. kick up a big fuss. need some time to pacify & to reason with her.
6. want to sing song..fast and slow version..can sing up to 30songs. excited and fun to hear her sing a few songs but not if so many songs and also have to listen to it everyday. sometimes she request me to sing with her...lol
7. want to listen to the radio. fine with this.
8. want to see beautiful light (referring to the lights outside the window) have to carry her for at least 20mins..ouch hand ache. repeat the same thing over & over..mummy i see cars, trees..mummy where the star & moon. sky is dark..mummy can see ppl downstairs..i see numbers...number 6...7...a...b...can see auntie / uncle...on & on
To complete above steps took at least 1 hour or more each night Haha..selfish of me to want her to sleep asap so that i can have more time to myself..indulge in my hk serial drama with my cute teddy bear.

meal & bed time = happy time to make my parents angry
indian style rice from neighbor..maid hesistant to feed my girls but i'm ok..kiddo should learn to eat everything..hope they won't be picky next time.

every yr i sent some gifts over..socks, stationaries, etc. postage cost more than the gifts..if i remember correctly, postage costs me $45 last yr! This is her latest report card. Photo undisclosed to protect her but can see she's very rotund.

These r some of the pics i took of my maid's cooking. her cooking skill is gd so we don't really eat out or pack from outside unless necessary. The chicken wing is so yummy that all of us put on weight except kennise. I had ordered her not to cook chicken wing liao, limit it to once a month. Saliva dripping when i think of the chicken wing. i hope to learn some cooking from her in the near future.

She has been asking for nail polish to be applied since a few months ago but I can't find the hopscotchkids spree until recently. I bought the purple shade one month ago. Before I had chance to use it , it was broken by Leticia. Sigh.. Then I have to order one more bottle. She was delighted that her nails were finally painted and i find it amusing that she would wake up in the middle of the night touching her toenails and saying nail polish nail polish..then i have to turn on the light to show her that nail polish is still on her nails la...yawn! this happened for a few nights..in the middle of the night...yawn! now she is requesting that i apply on her fingernails but i refused. maybe i will do that on special occasion. She also want to put earring months ago but i explain to her need to pierce a hole in her ear. I will bring her to have it done hopefully by this year. Such a vain little girl.

The maid's salary used to be $360 but this new one costs $100 more...very taxing. everything went up but not my salary. at least she made us look forward to every meal even breakfast. told her to brew the red date tea for me cos i am anaemic. For breakfast, i am satified with just plain bread with jam/butter but she made sandwiches with egg,cheese,tomatoe & ham as fillings. We appreciate her effort. Kam Sia. Now we get to enjoy wonderful & healthy food at home but occasionally we still need to go out there to eat unhealthy food too..heehee

I always thought or hope that kennise would be easier to handle but guess all children are the same , maybe not all but i would like to believe that most are. So much to console myself. She's not even two yet but seems like we don't hv to wait any longer for the terrible twos. haha. she is really a big bully. Unfortunately her victim is always Leticia. Kennise would bite her, pull her hair(poor gal , so many hair came off, so sad, if it's my hair that came off so much every day, in no time i would be bald), pinch her and hit her. All of us kena from her from time to time. She hit me on my face, use her finger nails to scratch my neck as a protest(when picked her up becos she was messing the items in the supermarket, i told hb ...look @ my neck with all the red scratching marks caused by K n he goes wah...) n of cos pull my hair n pinch me. Where did she learn all these from especially pinching n scratching ? really super naughty. the only consolation is that i don't hv to worry her being bullied in childcare cos she's so fierce.

On second thoughts, she's still so cute. the way she calls me ...mama mama.. aiyo so sweet. ask her to call hb..she purposely call kaka..lol ..ask her to sleep , she would stall time by gesticulating me to scratch her head, tickle her ear , blow into her eye even ask me to dig her nose...rofl...that's my cutie.

leticia n kennise also like unhealthy snack just like their mummy. of cos i try to give them healthy ones too. when we went out, snack is a must-bring otherwise really tough to enjoy shopping & eating in the mall. when our prinesses are noisy , i will instruct the maid to quickly give them snack to shut their mouth. the maid will say "no need la mam, no gd to eat this leh". when hb eats instant noodles, the maid will say "sir no gd to eat instant noodles la". When i was reading , the maid will say "mam,actaully not gd to read in orange light leh" rofl.. our new maid is like our nanny our mother.

took these pics@ T3 when sending off my 1st maid who had worked 1yr3mths for us. Now the new maid is completely different from the 1st one...the way they do things, communication skills, etc. Let's see. Hope she could coax kennise sleep soon otherwise we need to remain at home during the wkend. It's not easy to coax her to take her nap in the stroller..she can cry as if there's no tmr n ppl might wonder if bb has been abused...hee.

aiyo, recently leticia refused to pee in her diaper even though she's wearing it. aiyo she will cry n sob during the night until cannot take it anymore then blurted out "urine". hahaha i also want to cry becos i can't sleep after bringing her to the bathrm to wee wee...tired.
she's very observant n kpo now. when she saw me wearing new top, she will say "new one ah..u wearing blue colour". i was on leave the other day but i lied to her that i worked late so don't have to go office so early.otherwise she refused to go school. later in the day when she returned from sch n saw me wearing home apparel, she asked me "u never go to work today ah".
Recently took kennise's weight and she's 12kg. i can only carry her 3mins and hand started to ache. really very naughty. always pull leticia's hair and start to become very demanding. haha

Is this true ? Maybe partly. But i don't think my mum is like my grandma leh. Maybe i never stay with grandma before so don't exactly know. My grandma is my heroine, very frugal, kind hearted and can take hardship but don't know how to enjoy life. Enjoy abit ok ma. Till now still working so hard. I hope I'm not totally like my mum...some areas similar can liao example can cook , can do household chores and optimistic.. wahaha..

we went to eat “不肥”becos got $20 voucher from sakura international rest. Don't like buffet. just becos got voucher then ate there. After that, went to Kbox to release stress. Stress of hving to change & get used to the new helper who's at home now , while i'm typing this.

Tales of free lollipops, candies,tidbits ,fruits & toys being given to kennise are not new to me. But given a teddy bear and this time I was ard to witness the senario. The teddy bear was given to kennise by a tourist. I heard him asking his companion if we are chinese. $85 per person for a 7 course dinner. the portion is very little. we also ordered the salmon sashimi which costs $25 a plate. Ironically the set lunch is very cheap. Lucky man got a samsung galaxy tab on his birthday. Then we went to try the sour sally yoghurt. At night, we have a cake cutting session with our 2 babies. Leticia helped to put the candles onto the cake.

Current maid is leaving soon. make us so busy, headache,heartache. need to find replacement asap. need to send her back, pay for her ticket. Need to pay again for the agent fee ,insurance for new maid. Then i think at least $3k for the loan. bla bla all around 4k just becos she wanted to quit. Need to train the new maid all over again. Very cumbersome. Did everything to ask her to stay , give day off, allow her to use mobile but still decided to say gdbye. Anyway, grateful for her contribution to our family. Thank her for taking care of kennise. I believe she takes care of her wholeheartedly. She is genuine to my children. I hope the new maid will be as nice as her.

Leticia is fond of bus ride. Everytime she saw bus passing by, she would point & say "I want to sit bus". That day we took the open top hippo bus. Being the first batch of passengers, we were able to take some pics before the rest hop on the bus.
a few times i brought up to hb, why not we take the public transport since leticia loves bus ride. He told me, ok u take the children to point A with the helper. Then i will drive to point A & meet u all. hahaha guess it's becos of the challenge we need to face..so many stuff , 2 stroller, 2 young kids & the crowd so he rather drives.

Kennise likes to hit ppl. most probably learn from us when we hit leticia.I seldom hit, i try my best to tolerate but doesn't mean that i think smacking is wrong or right. Just hate that the children will learn to apply it on someone else. Doesn't feel good to hear ppl say "oh the parent hit their child, that's how the child learn to hit others too lor"..haha..
Kennise also started to pull our hair..helper's hair,my hair & leticia's hair. Grrrrrr..

luckily nothing bad happened to us when we were there (hee)..basically i think the best reason to go there is to EAT,MOVIES WATCHING,SINGING and A HAIR PERM done at their chio chio hair salon. Shopping is cheap but merchandise not my cup of tea. i still prefer to shop in my own country.

they like to play with the curtains..yucks..very dusty so i have told our helper to wash it often. i would never suggest them to play with the curtain. However, i once heard hb telling them to play with the cutain after i told him to help watch over them while i did something. immediately i told him off..haha.

Value for money..only $1.80per plate. we ate alot and the food is very yummy although cheap. service is top notch too. they don't hv a menu. what we saw on the conveyor belt , just take n try. the day we were there happened to be their soft opening. i wanna eat again leh... hope they keep up the standard. i lurv sushi express...muack muack ...

i spent ard 1hr trying to get her to sleep every night. Pet her & softly humming some music. The maid uses her own method which we just discovered today. 真可笑！I know kennise likes to tickle the sharp corners of her pillow. She will be even more happy if we use the sharp corner of the pillow to tickle her face, neck or feet. Fews months ago, she kept wanting me to tickle her face or leg , i did for a while then i stopped..神经..so tired lor. I strongly refuse to do that. But the maid pampered her lor..sing to her & also use the sharp corner of the pillow to tickle her feet. Aiyo...笑暴牙啦。next time how she's going to adapt in CC ?

The reply i got from hb when i told him i wanna bring my babies to musuem was "huh! bo liao bring them c world war II related things" heehee.. the modern museum is very different now lor.. quite crowded hor..need to queue up to get into some area lor. i'm willing to spend one whole day there exploring. But can't la..kennise need to take her nap. Nowadays we have been going out almost every wkend and kennise already got used to sleeping on her stroller. Leticia doesn't really take nap when we are outside. Poor bb!
